Climbers
Do you have longer belts available for your climbing stands?

No. We have only one size belt. This belt is specifically designed for use with Gorilla Treestands.

Where do I put my feet when climbing?

Put your feet on the lower platform when climbing. Please be sure to read your instruction manual before using the stand to ensure proper operation of the stand.
Hang-On Stands
Can I convert my chain on stand to be used with a strap?

No

I find I difficult to loosen the strap on my hang on stand. Can I make this easier?

Fold the platform up and against the tree. Pick up on the stand releasing the pressure on the strap. You will now be able to easily remove the strap.

What size tree do you recommend that I hang my stand in?

We recommend a tree no smaller than 8” in diameter or a tree no larger than 22” in diameter.

Should I purchase an aluminum or a steel stand?

If you plan packing in with your stand for a long distance then aluminum will be the best fit for you especially the Silverback Scout. If you are concerned with durability and sturdiness, then our steel models like our King Kong will be perfect.

What is the best way to hang my stand?

The best way to hang your stand is illustrated in the instruction manual that is included with your stand. Please be sure to read the installation instructions before use. We recommend that you practice setting up your stand before you venture into the field to hang your stand.

what's your most comfortable hang on stand?

We believe all of our stands are comfortable but for premium comfort, the Pro-Series King Kong will be a good choice. This comes with our Zero-G Seat, padded arm rest, and a foot rest. Also the large platform adds extra comfort. Our King Kong Lounger is also another great choice.
Ladders
Can I buy extra ladder sections?

Although you may purchase replacement ladder sections to replace damaged sections, we strongly recommend that you do not attempt to extend the height of your ladder stand beyond the factory height setting.
Accessories
What if I lost my keys to cable lock, can I obtain replacement keys?

No. Replacement keys are not available for cable locks at this time. Please be sure to keep a spare key in a safe and locatable location.

Does your hang-on footrest fit all stands?

We offer a universal footrest that fit all of our cuurent hang-on products.

Does the Gorilla Shield RM blind fit all ladderstands or just Gorilla?

The Gorilla RM Shield blind will fit most any ladder stand or pod stands.

How high can I go with 3 sticks?

Depending on your height and reach, you can go anywhere from 9-14 feet high with three climbing sticks.

Do you have an enclosure for my pod stand?

Yes. This year we came out with the Gorilla Shield RM. This will work on most pod stand and hang on stands with the right attachment.

How often should I change the straps and cables on my tree stand?

Every 3 years

Where can I get replacement parts like, straps, nuts and bolts, stand parts, etc.?

You can contact customer service or visit our website to obtain parts needed.

What is the warranty on your stands?

Our stands have a one year warranty.

What should I do if I notice a defect in my stand?

Contact Gorilla customer service immediately. Do not use the stand.

How do I prevent someone stealing my stand, sticks or steps?

Stand and stick locks are available to purchase. They are a great theft deterrent device

Can I leave my stand outside when not using?

We recommend that you remove your stand after two weeks of exposure to the outside elements.

Does a harness come with the stand?

Yes. All of our stands include a full body harness and FAS (Fall Arrest System) as required by the TMA (Treestand Manufacturers Association)

How do I care for my treestand?

Always inspect your stand visually before each use. Check Belts, cables, nuts, bolts and framework before each use as well. Replace any damaged or worn parts immediately before using. Do not leave you stand outside exposed to the weather for more than two weeks at a time.
